Mindfulness Meditation

Explore
I share the transformative power of meditation with others because mindfulness meditation has been a key to my personal growth as an autistic person trying to navigate a neurotypical world.
My daily mindfulness meditation practice has enhanced my empathy and compassion while giving me the tools to practice patience, accept change, and regulate my emotions and sensory system.

Mindfulness meditation enables us to be present and explore aspects of life that we may overlook when overwhelmed by sensory stimuli, life’s demands, relationship and communication challenges, and other issues common for autistic people.
By exercising our minds with mindfulness, we can ground ourselves so that we can gain a balanced perspective in moments of chaos or uncertainty.

Evolve
Mindfulness meditation can change how we perceive and interact with the world. Dedication, curiosity, and a nonjudgmental approach are rewarded. We become more balanced. We are more grateful for the gifts life gives us. We sleep better. We are happier and friendlier.
A meditation practice doesn’t have to be a big time commitment. Ten minutes a day. Let me show you!
Take care of you.
If you’re curious about mindfulness meditation but unsure if it’s right for you, let’s discuss it.
Many people feel that meditation is too hard, that they cannot calm their minds, that they are unable to sit without being restless, or that they fear the unknown. These are all valid concerns! They are also just concerns—they are not real, and you might surprise yourself with what you are capable of.
I had all these concerns before starting my meditation practice five years ago! I felt intimidated and too chaotic to meditate the “right way.” I soon discovered that there was no right way. Everyone can meditate. My daily practice has transformed me, and now I want to share the power of mindfulness meditation with others - particularly the autistic community.
I am completing my mindfulness meditation teacher certification and offering teachings as part of my practicum.
